248 Tones and 10 Drum Sets
Like its siblings (the EM-15 and EM-25) the EM-15 OR is packed with excellent Roland sounds. This translates into 226 western and 22 oriental Tones whose quality is best described by the term “stunning realism”. Add to that 10 Drum Sets, 16 multitimbral parts, and all-new Music Styles from Roland’s live-music style foundry and you know you’ve got a winner – even though the EM-15 OR is surprisingly affordable.
Grand Style
The EM-15OR's arranger provides newly programmed automatic accompaniments for 64 new musical styles, both western and oriental. As you have come to expect, the quality of these styles is superb : they have indeed been crafted especially for the EM-15 OR by expert musicians, both in the Middle-East and Europe.
Go Oriental
The EM-15 OR’s excellent oriental sounds and all-new Music Styles are complemented by 12 Oriental Scale buttons for changing the pitch of each note of an octave. At first, pressing one of these buttons will lower the pitch of that note by a quarter tone (in all octaves), which is indispendable for oriental music. You, can however, also experiment with other tunings (between –64 and +63 cents) and save your settings to one of the 3 scale memories the EM-15 OR provides.
